A group of treatments to help slow MS disease activity.
Disease Modifying Therapies (DMTs) can reduce the number of relapses, as well as reduce the severity of symptoms and relapses. The treatments work with different parts of the immune system to reduce the inflammation caused by MS to the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
There are a range of Disease Modifying Therapies (DMTs) available for use by the NHS in the UK. Explore the benefits and risks with your MS specialist, neurologist, or MS nurse.
